Started in 1895, Skoda is now one of the oldest car brands in the world. The Skoda Museum is located at the site of Skoda's first factory, where the company's cars were produced until 1928. Next to this site, the company's main modern factory continues the brand's production. Located in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, the museum is a popular tourist destination.
Museum overview
The museum presents the story of the Skoda brand through an interactive journey. The 1,800 m² exhibition displays classic cars spanning over a century, supplemented by films, photographs and documents. The site also hosts the Laurin & Klement conference centre and Café/Restaurant Václav for visitors.
Museum history
The first collection was assembled in the second half of the 1960s and included motorcycles, cars, a fire engine and a racing car. Initially exhibited at the Czech Brotherhood in Mladá Boleslav, the collection later led to plans for an independent museum.
Museum collection
The Skoda Museum holds around 340 items, including cars and engines from the company's earliest days. Notable pieces include the original Voiturette, the car featured in the film Ferat, and a roster of 24 cars that regularly attend vintage shows.
