Škoda Vietnam shines at Vietnam Mobility Show 2025

Škoda Vietnam would like to express its sincere gratitude to all valued customers who have shown interest in the brand and participated in experiencing Škoda vehicles. From December 26 to December 28, 2025, within the framework of Car Awards 2025 and Vietnam Mobility Show 2025, Škoda Vietnam showcased and provided full product experiences of all Škoda models currently distributed in Vietnam, while revisiting the brand’s key milestones in 2025.

The most important milestone in Škoda’s development journey in Vietnam was the official inauguration and operation of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Plant in Quang Ninh on March 26, 2025. Invested by Thanh Cong Group, the plant is built on an area of 36.5 hectares within the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automotive and Supporting Industry Complex in Quang Ninh, which has a total scale of 400 hectares and a total investment of VND 8,679 billion.

The first two Škoda models manufactured at the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Plant are the Škoda Kushaq and Škoda Slavia. With European-standard design and quality combined with highly competitive pricing in their segments, both models have been warmly received and positively evaluated by Vietnamese customers since their launch.

In addition, imported models such as the new-generation Škoda Kodiaq and Škoda Karoq have also been highly appreciated for their quality and user experience. Within the event, the appearance of the new Octavia RS at Škoda Vietnam’s booth in the final days of 2025 was an emotional highlight, bringing a strong sporty spirit to customers in Vietnam.

After its sales launch in Ho Chi Minh City on December 20, 2025, the Octavia RS made its first appearance in Hanoi and quickly became a major attraction for speed enthusiasts and brand supporters. Over the three event days, Škoda Vietnam’s exhibition area welcomed more than 60,000 visitors and recorded 526 test drives — impressive figures for this year’s program.

However, on the afternoon of December 26, 2025, an unfortunate incident occurred when a customer lost control of an Octavia RS during a test drive, resulting in a collision with a nearby construction structure. At the time of the incident, there were four occupants in the vehicle, including the driver, a test-drive instructor and rear-seat passengers. Immediately after the incident, Škoda Vietnam’s team arrived on site and promptly assisted in transporting the driver and instructor to the hospital for general health checks, confirming that all occupants were safe and sustained no physical injuries.

Regarding the vehicle condition, the strong impact caused deformation to the front and outer body panels. However, the curtain and front airbags deployed fully to protect the occupants; the passenger compartment remained structurally intact and the doors could still be opened normally for safe evacuation. Škoda Vietnam confirms that test-drive procedures at the event were carried out strictly in accordance with regulations. Customers were required to present valid driving licenses, commit to safety compliance and were always accompanied by professional instructors. The Octavia RS test vehicle performed its safety role effectively under unexpected hazardous conditions, once again affirming the high European standards, stability and safety of Škoda vehicles.

Despite the unfortunate incident, Škoda’s booth continued to attract strong interest from visitors. Notably, the Škoda Slavia was honored in the “Best Value B-Segment Sedan” category at the Car Awards 2025 ceremony held on the evening of December 26, 2025. Following the recognition of the Škoda Kodiaq as “Car of the Year Favorite” at the Better Choice Awards 2025 held at the National Innovation Center (NIC) on October 3, 2025, the Slavia award on December 26, 2025 further marks Škoda Vietnam’s commitment to delivering the best Škoda products to Vietnamese customers.

In 2025, Škoda also recorded strong global growth, rising into the Top 3 best-selling automotive brands in Europe. This serves as a solid foundation for the brand’s global expansion strategy.
