After a long wait, Skoda officially held the Brand Launch Event in Vietnam on September 23, 2023 at the National Convention Center. With the theme "Let's Explore", Skoda presented a sound-and-light show centered on the European-style SUV duo Kodiaq and Karoq. The event underscored cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic and between Vietnam and the European Union, and was attended by representatives of both governments.
Skoda, founded nearly 130 years ago and now part of the Volkswagen Group, signed a cooperation agreement with TC Motor in 2022 on technology transfer and exclusive distribution of Skoda passenger cars in Vietnam, marking its official market entry.
Karoq — key features
Karoq brings a crystal-cut Full-LED Matrix headlight design, aerodynamic front intakes, hexagonal grille and 18-inch sporty wheels. Dimensions: length 4,390 mm, height 1,603 mm, width 1,841 mm, ground clearance 164 mm, wheelbase 2,630 mm. Interior highlights include Virtual Cockpit, 8-inch infotainment, 8 speakers, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, Climatronic dual-zone climate control (16–29.5 °C), Air Care filtration, leather seats with 8-way electric adjustment and 3-position memory. Boot volume is 521–1,630 l. Powertrain: 1.4 TSI Turbo, 150 hp, 250 Nm, 8-speed automatic. Safety: 7 airbags, front/rear sensors, adaptive headlights, blind-spot and rear collision warnings, tire pressure monitor and driver fatigue alert. Karoq is offered in Ambition and Style trims with nine color options.
Kodiaq — key features
Kodiaq is a large 7-seat SUV with sharp design lines, three-dimensional grille and Full-LED Matrix headlights. Dimensions: length 4,697 mm, height 1,681 mm, width 1,882 mm, ground clearance 192 mm, wheelbase 2,791 mm. Boot volume ranges from 720 to 2,065 l. Equipment includes 12.15-inch instrument display, 8-inch central screen, 8-speaker audio, electric front seats with memory and three-zone climate. Main powertrain: 2.0 TSI Turbo, 180 hp, 320 Nm, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and selectable 4x4 modes. An alternative 1.4 TSI 150 hp engine with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic is also available. Safety and assistance systems include surround-view camera, hill-descent assist and up to 7 airbags.
MQB chassis
The MQB (Modularer QuerBaukasten) chassis from VW Group is applied to Skoda models to standardize platforms, improve safety, reduce weight and enhance efficiency. Both Kodiaq and Karoq distributed in Vietnam use the MQB architecture.

Skoda Vietnam applies a genuine warranty of 3 years with unlimited kilometers for new cars.
