Škoda Launches Recall Campaign for Kodiaq Vehicles

Reason for the Recall Campaign

Through its internal quality and safety inspection and evaluation processes, Škoda Auto has identified that on certain Kodiaq vehicles from the above-mentioned production batch, the edge of the internal front seat frame may potentially affect the integrity of the side airbag when deployed. This situation could reduce the protective effectiveness of the side airbag, thereby increasing the risk of injury to occupants in the event of a collision.

Although no actual incidents have been reported globally, Škoda Auto is proactively launching this recall campaign as a preventive measure to minimize potential risks and ensure maximum safety for customers.

Detailed Information About the Campaign
Škoda Vietnam will implement the campaign starting from March 18, 2026, until completion.

Campaign Name: Recall campaign to install an additional fabric component on the internal frame of the front seats for Kodiaq vehicles (Code: 72SG)

• Affected Product: Škoda Kodiaq
• Production Period: From September 2024 to August 2025
• Repair Cost: All affected vehicles will be inspected and repaired free of charge by Škoda Vietnam.
• Estimated Repair Time: Approximately 1–3 hours per vehicle.
• Corrective Measure: During the campaign period, the Customer Care Department of authorized Škoda dealerships will proactively contact customers whose vehicles are affected via phone calls, email, or other communication methods to invite them to visit authorized dealerships for the installation of an additional protective fabric component on the internal frame of the front seats.

• Check the VIN number: Locate the VIN number on the vehicle registration certificate or at the lower corner of the windshield.
