› Skoda Octavia wins “Best Car” title for 11th time in imported “Small Car” ranking

Mladá Boleslav, 9 February 2023 – Skoda is celebrating two victories in the ‘Best Car’ poll: Readers of the German trade magazine Auto motor und sport voted the Skoda Fabia first in the imported small car ranking, while the Octavia topped the compact import ranking. More than 100,000 readers voted for their favourite models among 422 models in 13 vehicle categories in the 47th “Best Cars” competition.

Eleventh win for Skoda Octavia in the “Best cars” category, tenth consecutive win
The Skoda Octavia beat 29 competitors in its category to take the top spot in the compact import ranking. In total, 13.6% of more than 100,000 readers voted for the brand’s bestseller, marking the 10th consecutive time it has won the “Best Car” category. The fourth-generation Octavia is distinguished by its design, spacious interior, safety features, innovative assistance systems, modern connectivity and a wide range of drive configurations.
Skoda Fabia celebrates second win in “Best cars” readers’ poll
The Fabia won the imported small car category with 16.9% of the votes, beating 19 competitors to secure the award for the second time since 2008. The fourth-generation Fabia offers dynamic design, outstanding interior space and efficient powertrains, and is based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB-A0 platform.
This year's 'Best Cars' reader poll saw multiple titles awarded to vehicles from Volkswagen Group brands.
